Who I am...

I am a woman in her mid 30s. I have two beautiful children under 5 years old and a wonderful husband who I have been head over heels in love with for about than 15 years now. I have just a handful of things I am passionate about - my kids, running to calm my head, and watching hockey.

I started running to lose weight. Not baby weight - I was overweight before I got pregnant with my first child. It was to lose the weight that I had accumulated before. Then I discovered that when I run, my mind goes blank. Or it focusses on a million things each second. Or some combination of the two.

But most important? After I run, I have this rush of happiness. I feel SO GOOD after I run. I feel happy, relaxed, less tense. I have more patience with work, with my kids, with my husband. I discovered that Running is my meditation.
